Founded in 2021 by Karen, The Urban Chiq began as a simple solution to a real problem: finding fashion that was quality, unique, and affordable. Karen struggled to find new pieces that spoke to her personal style without breaking the bank. So she turned to thrift shopping — and not just for herself. Her eye for standout fashion soon caught the attention of family and friends, and she began curating and selling thrifted gems that reflected her signature style.

But as the vision grew, so did the dream. She transitioned from thrift to new items — offering carefully selected pieces that blended minimalism with bold statements. She wanted more than just clothes on a hanger. She wanted to create a brand for women like her: women who don’t follow trends — they create their own.
